1. INTRODUCTION

Vino Alert (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard information when you visit https://vinoalert.com, receive our email alerts, or interact with any related service (collectively, the “Service”). The Service is offered only to U.S. residents and is designed to comply with applicable U.S. federal and state privacy laws.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information you provide. Name, email address, preferences you set (grape, region, price, etc), and any messages or feedback you send us.

Information we collect automatically. Device type, browser, IP address, referral URLs, pages viewed, time spent, and identifiers stored in cookies or similar technologies.

Information from third parties. Marketing lists, analytics services, advertising networks (including Google Ads and similar ad-tech providers), and social-media platforms may supply profile data, interests, or ad-performance metrics.

3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Service and the accuracy of our alerts;
  • Personalize content, recommendations, and marketing communications;
  • Measure site usage, email open-rates, and advertising effectiveness;
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service;
  • For any other purpose disclosed at collection or with your consent.

4. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

We may disclose or otherwise sell or share your information as follows:

  • Service providers. Hosting, cloud infrastructure, email-delivery, analytics, customer-support, and security vendors;
  • Advertising partners & data brokers. Google Ads/Analytics, programmatic ad exchanges, and similar ad-tech companies that place or read cookies and ad identifiers to deliver, measure, and improve targeted ads;
  • Corporate transfers. As part of any merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets;
  • Legal & compliance. To comply with subpoenas, court orders, or to protect rights, property, or safety.

5. COOKIES & OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

We and our partners use first- and third-party cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies to recognize your browser, improve the Service, and serve personalized ads. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may impair some Service features.

6. DATA RETENTION

We retain personal information for as long as it remains useful for the business purposes described in this Policy, which may be indefinitely, unless a governing law requires earlier deletion or you submit a verified deletion request (see Section 8). Deleting required data will result in closure of your account.

7. YOUR CHOICES

  • Email marketing. You may unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time by using the “unsubscribe” link in those messages. Transactional or Service emails (e.g., alert notifications) are required for account functionality.
  • Browser controls. You may block or delete cookies via your browser settings. The Service does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals.

8. ACCESS, CORRECTION, AND DELETION RIGHTS

You may request to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. If you request deletion, we will close your account and remove or de-identify the data as required by law. Because the Service relies on the ability to sell and share data with advertising partners, there is no option to opt out of such sale or sharing while maintaining an active account. If you do not consent to these practices, please do not create an account or discontinue use of the Service.

9. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly.

10. SECURITY

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
